On Friday, July 30 at 12:03 a.m., Officer Steven Young took a report of trespassing and theft after noticing a vehicle parked after hours at the Verona Community Pool. After waiting and questioning an individual returning to the vehicle, the Essex County Sheriff's Department was contacted and four people were taken into custody for the theft of copper pipe and fixtures from the old Essex County Hospital Center.
