Centralia....

I thinking about going there. Yes really. I must see a town frozen in time. This place as you may know, probably, i would hope...there is a underground coal mine fire that will last for about 1000+ years. They tried to extinguish the fire but yeh, never were able to. So tons of stuff just sits around, the way it was when the government ordered the evacuation of the town. I think its sweet, and wondering if anyone else would like to join myself, cause I really dont wanna go alone.

If your not too keen on breathing in smoke i have 3 gas masks, well technically i have 4 but the 4th one is for INHALING gas....

oh and we need a small person that can fit in sideways of a 2 feet wide hole, so you can see the highway that is there.

Only thing that sucks about it, is that its a long ass ride there.

I know and it really sucks because with the new job wont have a lot of time it looks like.

When we go there, do you think there is a chance that the rubber on the tires would melt? What about the rubber on the shoes? I have AAA so I could get a tow up to 250 miles. Well wonder if there is some kind of fine print that says yeh you cant be towed off a closed road.

I may be wrong, but on the link I posted, somewhere on there is a video of steam coming up through the road.

Steam does come up through the road but only on some of the roads. I watched a video that showed a shoe after 15 minutes and it was completely melted.
