Yes. It opened in 1908 as a state school for the feeble-minded. Shortly later became a dumping ground for "defectives". Abused, neglected, mistreated and forgotten were the patients. Dressed only with only a diaper they were shackled and strapped down in oversized cribs. Word got out about the conditions that the state closed it in 1985.

Dressed only with only a diaper they were shackled and strapped down in oversized cribs. Word got out about the conditions that the state closed it in 1985.
